Heart burn acid reflux home remedies?

My husband suffers from frequent heartburn (every day) Does any one have any home remedies? He does not want to keep taking pills..

Answer: drink a glass of milk and dont sleep flat - keep your head propped up. it helps the acid stay down. best of luck.
