Question:
Alternative Medicine?

has anyone got CF or knows anyone who has that use alternative therapies instead of the meds that the docs give us. My son is 10 and is currently on 70 ish tablets a day and i would like to go down the road of alternative medicines. cheers for the responses.

Answer: I'm an herbalist and I'll be dead honest with you. If by CF you mean cystic fibrosis, there aren't many alternatives out there that are going to be helpful since it's a genetic disorder. You could try acupuncture to see if it helps bring some relief. Otherwise, stick with the meds. CF is a child killer. In otherwords, without appropriate treatment, you child may not grow up.

One of my girlfriends was married to a man who had CF. His older brother had already died, I believe in HS. His younger brother was lucky enough not to have the disorder, just to be a carrier of it. He tried every new treatment out there but when their triplets were less than a year old, he had an aneurism in his lung and died.
