Question: Is there any one out there who tried the apple cider vinegar for hot flushes? This is the support menopause group, right?
Answer: you've noticed the thread drift, eh? It's the norm in thisgroup; we tend to discuss a lot of things in and around midlife concerns, and other everyday concerns as well. I think, without going back and rereading the entire thread, that somepeople reported that they had or were going to try the vinegar remedy. Ihaven't tried it, myself, but I don't get that many hot flashes (age 56, 4years post surgipausal). Since you didn't get the answer that you wanted, it's good that you askedagain. We do try to provide help and support, but if we don't have the experienceor knowledge about a topic (e.g., hot flashes help by cider vinegar), wecan't give you much information. Here's an article that briefly discussesseveral different therapies, but it doesn't mention cider vinegar (aceticacid). http://www.jfponline.com/content/2003/04/jfp_0403_00324.asp I found this article by going to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed and searching on the terms acetic acid hot flash . The search turns upquite a few abstracts; I didn't find a mention of cider vinegar or aceticacid in the first few I scanned, but they could be there. Is cider vinegar still working for you to reduce your hot flashes?
