Question:
Herpes breakout home remedies?

I noticed yesterday that I started having a herpes breakout. I tried to get my valtrex prescription filled, but the insurance wont let me fill it until 01/26 and that will be too late to start taking it, so I was trying to find some home remedies that will improve the healing process. I currently am blow drying around the area after a shower and putting medicated gold bond powder on the area 3 times a day. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with anything else?

Answer: What you're doing sounds like it would help. This is going to sound kind of weird but not wearing underwear...like to bed...also helps a lot...that way there isn't any extra moisture or whatever. Sorry if that was too graphic...but it does help...also stay away from your triggers...chocolate, stress, etc...that's what all helps me...just keep it dry and stay as stress free as possible.
