What are the mental health benefits of Omega-3?

A psychiatric doctor told me that there were specific benefits that came from Omega-3 fish oil - what are they?

My son needs to be on a mood stabilizer and I'd prefer to go holistic if at all possible. What dosage would you give a child?

Answer: I use and recommend OmegaGuard. It's a pharmaceutical grade omega 3's and uses a low temperature, triple molecular distillation and purification process that concentrates natural beneficial omega 3 fatty acids and helps remove harmful contaminants including heavy metals lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, dioxins and PCBs.

Dosage - three daily with meals.
