Question: What are some NATURAL CURES for migraines? i've been having really bad migraines to the point where i can't take care of my three children (3 and under). i still breastfeed so i can't take too much medicine and tylenol does not work. please let me know what you've done to decrease your migraine tension and duration (mine occurs about once a month).please don't give me links to sites, nor list of books to buy and read. sorry, i don't mean to sound rude but i want to know what worked for you and your loved ones, naturally.
Answer: Have you tried seeing a chiropractor? Contrary to popular belief, chiropractic deals with more than just "neck and back pain." Chiropractic is founded in the belief that the Central Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) controls EVERY bodily function. A misalignment of the vertebrae (what chiropractic calls a subluxation) can pinch the nerves running out between them, causing pain, numbness/tingling, or any type of general malfunction in that nerve's corresponding body part. I used to work in a chiropractic office and saw how it helped many people with chronic migraine headaches and sinus headaches. This might be a more suitable solution to your problem since you are breastfeeding and, as the mother of young children, always on the go. Chiropractic is safe, non-invasive, won't take up too much of your time (except for the first appointment which will include an examine and x-rays) and won't have an impact on your breast milk. If you do decide to see a chiropractor, it would be in your best interest to ask family and friends for recommendations, visit a few offices and pick the doctor that you are most comfortable with. No matter what you decide to do, I sincerely hope that things improve for you. Source(s):I know you specifically asked for no links, so I will summarize this link for you. It compared chiropractic care to medication and massage therapy to relieve headaches. Basically, chiropractic did better than the massage group, and equalled the medication group, but didn't have the side effects that came with the medication. http://www.chiropracticresearch.org/news...
