Question: I'm struggling a lot here, and have tried virtually everything formigraine, but was wondering about anyone's success with any herbs, eg.feverfew, that may help reduce migraine frequency. Does anyone knowof any drug interaction with feverfew? I'm on quite a few.
Answer: I have a lot of allergies which have incresed with age. As many plantsbother me, I've not tried feverfew. It works for some people butdoesn't work for others. I know people who've had success withmagnesium and Vit. B2 (riboflavin). I've heard several of the other Bvitamins suggested too. One of my books on natral health says not to use feverfew if pregnantor allergic to plants of the ragweed family. I seem to remember achrysanthemum and chamomile connection too. Also some people developulcers on the tongue if they use the leaf form. If you are taking ananticoagulant, avoid feverfew, as it slows clot formation. The bookalso says it may take 2-3 months to become effective. this is notuncommon for herbal remedies. It is also helpful for nausea.
